Formerly the Student Housing Center known only as the Principal Office, which was established in July 2002. In 2013 the Principal's Office was upgraded to a Student Accommodation Unit. But by 2015, function of this unit was administered by the Residential College Management Council and in April 2020 this council was restructured and upgraded as a Student Housing Center.
Generally, the Student Housing Center is responsibility Managing accommodation involves 6 residential colleges with a capacity of 14,000 and to plan the development of all UniMAP hostels, including facilities provided within the hostels. Furthermore, student housing center also responsible to manage business premises for the entire UniMAP campus
